possible internship?

Hey,

I'm taking a program this quarter at Evergreen that includes doing a 10-hour a week intership with a non-profit.

This would be my ideal group to work with, so I'm wondering if it would be possible to do an internship with olymega.

I imagine that I could volunteer to do these kinds of activities:

outreach

• social media stuff.
• designing and distributing fliers.
• putting together plans for events or other outreach activities.

workshops

• processing 
• javascript 
• intro to data analysis and visualization
• intro to wikis / content-building with olywiki.org

Let me know if this sounds like a reasonable idea. I keep missing meetings, but I'll do my best to make it to the next one.

Side note: I haven't finished that 3d printer yet! still working on it, though. I hope that over the next month I'll be able to get it all put together.

Attend one of the meetings and talk with the people. We need someone
to maintain the social networking sites, advertisement, etc.

There are two this week, the Arduino meetup at Justin's on Thursday and the Eagle CAD meetup in downtown Oly on Friday.

 

I think the Arduino meetup would be more conducive to this since there is nothing specific on the agenda for Thursday.
