Hey HakOlyHak,

In the past, I've brought copies of this zine which I help edit down to
the meetings but I'm way too busy to do that recently (and we don't have
prints run up yet). In any case, it seems that a fair amount of people
here find this at least mildly interesting so check it out:

Hackbloc Announces the Release of HackThisZine #13

Hackbloc is proud to announce the newest release of our zine,
HackThisZine. You can grab copies pre-formatted for online reading and
printing at https://hackbloc.org/zine. HackThisZine is an online and
in-print periodical about hacking, hacktivism, social struggle, computer
security, and anarchism. It's got a little content for everybody and a
lot of content for that special someone.

Inside HTZ 13: People, Like Information, Want to be Free
Making of a female hacktivist: An interview with synch
BitCoin: Dangerous to Surveillance State, Useful to Activists (with a
nice how-to for getting started with BitCoin)
How to beat anti-piracy measures and make backups of your CDs/DVDs in Linux.
Communiques, news, and legal support info from anonymous and antisec
... and much much more!

"What we need most to organize in the digital world, the social media
that we all use, is controlled once again by 1%. We are the 99% of the
internet-age. The same
sociopathic corporations and governments that exploit us in our daily
lives are also expanding their digital dominion. For years, internet
activism was considered the domain of a vanguard of hackers, waiting for
anonymous, lulzsec or other groups to erect the digital barricades. Even
if in our political lives we reject vanguardism, we are still waiting on
these special few to do battle for us. We need a hacking movement that
allows the 99% to get involved and shape the goals tactics and strategy
of our digital protest. The hackers need to join the users, not lead them."
