Major Safety Aspects in Dubai Airport Terminal 3 Speaker: Eng. Salem Bin Kenaid
Eng. Salem Ali Salem Khamis Bin Kenaid is currently the Senior Construction Engineer in Building Construction Unit, Engineering Projects in Dubai Civil Aviation where he became an active member in the team that delivered Terminal 3/Concourse 2 in Dubai International Airport from April 2008 to March 2009 and presently an active member of the team that is currently supervising Concourse 3 in Dubai International Airport. He previously worked in Roads & Transport Authority as Road Construction Engineer in Construction Supervision Section, Roads Department where he supervised a number of RTA road projects which include: R801 - Levelling and Roads in Al Barsha South, R809 - Paving in Jumeriah II, R816 – Roads and Footpaths in Al Garhoud and R924/5- Beautification of Jumeira Road - Upgrading and Beautification of 2nd Za'abeel Road (Za’abeel Tunnel). He earned his Master Degree in Engineering Management from University of Wollongong in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and his Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University, West Lafayette, United States of America and received his Project Management Professionals (PMP) Certificate from Project Management Institute (PMI) in October 2009. He is a member Society of Engineers, United Arab Emirates since 2008, Project Management Institute (PMI) since 2009 and currently holding a position as the Chairman of Young Engineer Committee in Society of Engineers - UAE and a Representative for Young Engineer/Future Leaders Team as part of Building Standing Committee in WFEO (World Federation of Engineering Organizations).

Has been Visiting Associate in Architecture at Harvard University and has created recently the Master in Design Pedagogy at Elisava/Pompeu Fabra University of Barcelona. His book on architectural creativity, entitled in Spanish The reflexive nature of modern architecture, is recommended as bibliography at various university programs in Spain. Mr. Maged Farouck Hanna has Master Degree in Arts from Halwan University in Egypt and also achieved his Bachelor Degree in Arts from the same university. Maged Farouck received numerous honors throughout his eminent career: ACE – Adobe Certified Expert, ACI – Adobe Certified Instructor, CTP –Certified Training Professional and CAPM – Certified Associate in Project Management, PMP – Project Management Professional and CBP Master Executive. He is currently the General Manager of Society of Engineers – UAE. Maged Farouck conducts a pioneering work beginning in 2003. He directs and coordinates the daily operations of Society of Engineers – UAE, set specific goals for each department, describe their goal clearly to his staffs and see that the goals are met. He is responsible for the overall strategic planning and direction of the organization. His focus and accomplishments over the years includes the certification of ISO 9001-2008 and the qualification and accreditation of all engineers in the UAE. Under his direction and management, Society of Engineers – UAE gained a highly respectable status in United Arab Emirates. He manages to authorize Society of Engineers – UAE in various international accreditations that gave a highly acclaimed reputation to the organization. ICDL (International Computer Driving License), Adobe Authorized Training Center, PMI (Project Management International) Registered Education Provider – PMP, Pearson VUE Authorized Test Center and recently been accredited as TOEFL Authorized Test Center, CBP (Certified Business Professional) Authorized Training and Test Center and AACE (Association for the Advancement of the Cost Engineers) – Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP). He has been widely known as the Art Director of World of Engineering magazine, a quarterly publication of Society of Engineers – UAE and a certified Instructor for various courses.

Dr. Moshood Olawale Fadeyi, a qualified Architect (Nigeria), Chartered Engineer (UK), Chartered Builder (UK) is an Assistant Professor of Sustainable Design of the Built Environment at the British University in Dubai, UAE. Dr. Fadeyi has won/been involved in several research grants including those funded by Emirates Foundation, United States National Science Foundation, and ASHRAE. He is an expert in indoor environmental quality, comfort and health.

Alan has over 35 years experience in the HVAC industry with an international career spanning more than 25 years. He is currently a member of the Middle East Facility Management Association sustainability focus group which seeks to establish sustainable development guidance for facility management professionals.
