Abu,

We joined this group in anxious anticipation of supporting (and being
supported in) collective efforts to meet the enormous requirements for
housing in Haiti.

None of us can meet those requirements alone. Cooperation may allow
us, collectively, to meet current objectives, to learn, and to improve
our respective technologies to meet the requirement to house the other
1.25 billion living in housing poverty.

As you may know, we have had houses in Haiti for over eight years that
withstood numerous withering hurricanes and the recent earthquake. We
have extensive test data and very solid empirical evidence.

We wish you success in your endeavors and hope that your participation
in this group will enhance your success.

We are also hopeful that your success will come from your efforts at
extolling the virtues of your products and not through attempts to
denigrate the proven success of others.

There are a lot of smart men and women out there who are trying to
respond to disasters and alleviation of housing poverty—all of which
are constrained by the fiscal realities of the markets and people we
choose to serve. I include in that the posting by Ivan Olsen (9/2/10)
whose insight into other problems may allow us (collectively) to find
a way to pressure the Haitian authorities to reduce the administrative
and tax burdens that are imposed on our efforts.

With regard to our polymer composite system, rather than withdraw our
statement, we reiterate it here: Our patented, award-winning material
is fabricated from recycled plastic. As pioneers in truly green
technology, we turned the disposal liability of plastic into a
structural strength. Polymer structures rely upon one of the
strengths of plastics that make their disposal so problematic: they
last forever! Further, our panels are not susceptible to the wood-
dwelling insects that carry and cause Chagas Disease, which is a
problem in Haiti. We believe that we produce the most economical
building material available that provides the same degree of
structural integrity, projected longevity, and sense of dignity.

Wishing you the best of success.
