Here are some pix of current housing needs and work post-Isaac.   We have some connectivity problems coming out of Haiti, so the files for these pix are relatively small.  However, they provide visuals of both the need and the work already being undertaken by HOM to replace roofs.  There is an infinite need, but HOM would like to target $100,000 worth of repairs to homes in between now and Fall 2013.  We focus relief donations in this area and some new home construction.

 

Additionally, the HOM web site has pix of the damage to the church roof at Ibo Beach.  The estimate for repairs to this roof is abt. $36,000 (US$).  Since all such repairs and other capital expenses are not budgeted, but rather undertaken as funds are available, we also seek donations for this $36,000 repair.  Until we are able to do so, the church is meeting with a blue tarp roof that is susceptible to weather damage.

 

Finally, leon, Luc and Profaite will be visiting churches in VA/NC/FL/GA/KY/NJ (greater Phila.) areas during the next 6 weeks.  Visit our website and download the current calendar if you would like to know if they will be near you.  As well, I am planning to be at 1st Presbyterian Monroe NC on 10/14.
