After many years of dedicated service, Ruby Butler
will be retiring effective July 1st. For the past 12 years, Ruby has been
steadfast and the sole of reliability in serving as the financial
secretary for HOM. Every check that was received ended up being processed by
Ruby. Now, this averages 500 checks a month. A large part of those being $25 a
month student sponsorship checks. During the period immediately following the
earthquake, Ruby worked not only full time but overtime to keep up with the
hundreds of additional donations received during that period.
We are sad to see her leave this work but also
recognize that the time to retire comes to us all and this is her time. We thank
Ruby for all of her work, her friendship, her indefatigable dedication to the
Haitian people and the ministry. Please join us in keeping Ruby in your prayers
as she begins to enjoy the expectation to wake up without volumes of ministry
work in her mailbox.
We are pleased to welcome Vince Tanner as our new
financial secretary. Vince has often offered to help the ministry wherever
needed and responded graciously to our request that he become Ruby's
relief. Beginning July
1st all checks* should be sent to: HOM
c/o Vincent Tanner

Please lift up Vince in your prayers as he
undertakes this new challenge and opportunity.
Soli Deo gloria,
Bill Glass
*Initial sponsorship checks should still
be sent to Linda Glass, 725 Redding Road, Sumner, ME
