Dear Friends,   This is the place to be this Sunday January 3rd and all Sunday there after, in the enthusiastic company of my good friend Guy Evans Ford, at the newly renovated Brasserie Creole by its new owners, Rudy Chapoteau and his partners. During my recent visit in New York I had the great pleasure to spend time with both, Guy and Rudy. While Rudy is kind of shy, Guy Evans Ford is an institution all by himself. The Brasserie Creole brings great memories to me. It used to be my hang out place. This Sunday promises to be bigger, as Noche Latina celebrates 2010 with a performance by the famous Haitian vocalist, Elektra. Find out by yourself.  So if you missed it last Sunday, here is your chance to redeem yourself.  Doors open at 7:00 pm for the Free Salsa lessons. Showtime 8:00 pm
Check out the few pictures below from last Sunday for a small taste of the Ambiance.  - Watch Video Below - (Pictures & video by: Haitianbeatz.com) Elektra (Cassandre Joseph) is a multi-talented female artist who hails from the island of Haiti. Her extra-ordinary journey started 12 years ago, with the legendary Haitian band, Phantoms.. She has traveled the world from Canada, to Japan, and she has five hit albums under her belt with Phantoms. Elektra has collaborated with Wyclef Jean on numerous occasions, and has performed on the same stage with Lil’ Kim, Mystical, Kassav, Michael Montano, Youssou N’dour, and many others. Elektra was awarded Female Artist of The Year 2003 at the Haitian Music Awards (HMA), among other awards that she received such as Diva of The Year 2000, and the Achievement Award 2009 at the ‘5 Continents Academy Awards’. Elektra (Cassandre Joseph) is currently working on her solo album due to be released in the year 2010.
