yes other agencies have access but usaid does not use it, that could
easily change. no reason they cant' use it. some marketing in canada.
would take a few email blasts to diaspora groups, maybe canadem
putting up a special FAQ for the diaspora. but really this is done,
check this off your list

itself) you're in the database. the un goes to them for help filling
consultancies and volunteer opportunities. you sign up, you get emails
inviting you to apply to jobs for which you are qualified. they screen
qualifications and your resume. works like a charm. if you're not
getting emails it's because your qualifications don't match any
postings. if you do get an email you can respond or ignore. either
way, doesn't make a difference you keep getting relevant emails.
doesn't waste your time applying for stuff for which you won't be
considered. again, over 200 kreyol speakers already registered. whole
registration thing takes about 10 minutes. and if people register you
get an inventory of diaspora skills automatically

We would like to have a call tomorrow to discuss the
potential setting of a Diaspora Database where professionnals could
upload resumes and international community could look for candidates.
I know you have mentionned that it could be done and link to the UN
database and that you knew a group who could help us out. The RG is in
commnunication with the MHAVE who was looking urgently to do create
such a platform. Marie-Odile Val member is looking to diffferent
options with us and we would like to make a proposal to the MHAVE and
the RG soon.
