Saturday Out&Back road rides

This Saturday morning we did the first Out& Back road ride of the
season. Despite the snow and ice, three of us met at Mt. Market and
rode out to the end of Lutak and back. About a mile of ice remains,
but is easily negotiable with tires 28 mm and up. We rode a leisurely
pace, covering the 20 miles in 1:40.
We'll have an Out & Back ride every Saturday morning, meeting at Mt.
Market and then going out and back one of our roads for a couple of
hours. As the season progresses, we'll probably leave a little
earlier in the morning and start going a little longer. We have plans
for doing a ride to the pass and back some time before the big relay,
and we should have a SAG van for those who don't want to pedal all
the way back. We will figure out a pace and mileage for anyone who
shows up. The ride is mainly for motivational and recreational purposes.
