Follow the instructions below to delete a file or folder from your Dropbox account on dropbox.com, the Dropbox desktop app, or the Dropbox mobile app. Deleted files or folders can be restored within a certain window of time, depending on your Dropbox plan.
You can change from Dropbox Standard, Business, Advanced, or Business Plus to individual plans for all team members by canceling your subscription and disbanding your team. Disbanding your team is permanent and causes team members to lose access to team content. Learn how to disband your team and the consequences of doing so.
To change from Dropbox Enterprise to a different plan, contact your account manager or Dropbox Support at least 30 days before your renewal date. Learn about considerations to keep in mind before downgrading your plan.
To confirm your plan change or cancellation on dropbox.com, go to the Billing tab in your account settings and click Change next to Billing period. You should see a notification titled "Plan downgrade scheduled."
You can view your past and future billing dates on the billing page of your account settings at dropbox.com/account/billing. Your next billing date is shown under Upcoming invoice on the right side of the Billing page.
Dropbox uses a secure deletion process to delete data from our servers. Additionally, when a Dropbox storage disk has reached the end of its useful life or is damaged, we follow a decommissioning process that is designed to physically or logically destroy the disk to the point data can't be recovered. Our third-party service providers also follow secure protection processes for media they control.

When you download large files, folders, or collections of multiple items from your Dropbox account, you may receive a warning that the download will take a long time, based on your current internet speed.
Every migration is unique, and it can be tricky to move data between differing systems. Box Shuttle acts as an intermediary between various content management systems, allowing you to transfer folders, files, permissions, and metadata from these platforms to Box.
For more information and recommendations, see Folder Structure Best Practices.
Determine the data and information you want to keep
Moving individuals and teams to Box from Dropbox requires planning and general housekeeping. Successful Box customers migrate current and relevant content instead of everything. Consider the potential value of files and folders to keep if they are untouched items. Including too many unnecessary items can complicate and stall the job process.
This type of data migration transfers not only files and folders, but also ownership rights and permissions from one location to another. This type migration job is suitable for comprehensive management of files, accounts, and privileges throughout the entire data migration process.
When transferring data from Dropbox to Box, the Migrate Permissions job determines whether ownership or permissions are compatible between the two. If any permission conflicts occur between source and target, Box Shuttle provides you with the following options to choose from:
To facilitate effective migration, migrate Dropbox team folders in separate jobs from personal user data and shared folders. Using several jobs allows you to run faster delta syncs because smaller data sets are scanned.
Hey hey. I am getting so frustrated. I am trying to transfer a lot of stuff from dropbox to Evernote. I was doing them one at a time. It did appear in Evernote as a link. It got me there when I clicked on it. But when I deleted it from dropbox, it also left Evernote. Plus, I would like to transfer in bulk. Help
Hello. I hope I answer this right. I am on an iPad Pro 2nd Gen. 15.3.1. I have personal paid Evernote 10.27(1120970). I have about 1/3rd of the files on dropbox that are personal and want to move over to Evernote. That includes about 10,000 photos lol. I hope I am answering your questions. Thank you
Try to first import files from Dropbox into the iOS Files app. You can link Dropbox into its storage locations, and copy them over to local storage.
For bulk transfer into EN the best way is with a Mac or Windows computer. They are able to run an EN Import Folder. You drop a file into it, it creates a new note with the file name as note title. Once in EN it is made searchable.
Hi,
I am thinking about transferring all my files from Dropbox to OneDrive (Google Drive), but I have some doubts related to the already established link in my tasks.
Is there any tool to transfer the files and update the links within asana?
Or any other workaround to keep the attachments linked?
Thanks for any idea
Dirk
You can copy records directly from CSV and Excel files stored on Dropbox to Google Sheets on Google Drive. In addition, you can automate this process on schedule, meaning that data will be refreshed, for example, every day or every hour. This is possible thanks to the Dropbox integration by Coupler.io.
We are migrating files from dropbox to onedrive. We download the top-level parent folders from dropbox and upload to onedrive. Those parent folders have many levels of subfolders and so on, so there are many files
If you have the credentials for every dropbox, I would guess you could use FTP to do most of the work. The biggest difference is that everything is spread out on Dropbox, and everything will be stored in the same place in sharefile. Well, not likely in a physical way, but certainly from a management standpoint.
The Sharefile client is able to connect to the users Dropbox account. You can create a policy that says that they are only able to read files from Dropbox. The users will after sometime start to use only Sharefile instead of Dropbox, because they won't be able to save their files to Dropbox.
I'd like to be able to select multiple images and import them at once from dropbox/icloud.
Right now I can select several, but it will just import them into some hidden place, making it hard to keep track on which is the next picture I need to import (as it won't have the download icon on the top left corner of the image)
My workflow is after a shoot going over the pictures and doing the main adjustment inside Capture One, then export the ones that need retouching into an dropbox import folder.
After that Import them into Affinity Photo on my iPad, this part is painfully inefficient as I need to Import from Cloud, pick a photo, wait for it to load into the app, exit into the gallery view, wait for it to do some further processing (otherwise it might fail once I try to import the next), and repeat this procedure for each picture.
This is what I tried, but unfortunately, it does not work. It seems like it is pulling an old data set from iCloud Drive, but I cannot find how to delete that and get it replaced by the stuff on Dropbox. iCloud Drive does not show anything related to Agenda.
To download your eBooks from Dropbox onto your Kobo eReader, you'll need to create either a Dropbox account or Google account. After you create an account, you can link your Kobo account to your Dropbox account.
We have added dropbox.com to OBJECTS>Custom Objects>URL Category. We can login dropbox online. However, can't download files with these errors: .pdf files are supported but something went wrong or There was an error downloading your file. Any help?
Yes, you are right. From the Monitor, I can tell many dropbox URLs. I added them to allow list that fixed the problem. Then I thought the problem might come back if Dropbox uses more other URLs. Therefore, I created a policy. Thankyou!
I am running Dropbox on a linux server (no GUI) and I can't get Dropbox to remove a specific folder from its exclude list. I've installed the command line interface. Previously I ran dropbox exclude myfolder but when I subsequently tried to remove the folder from the exclude list, this is what happened:
I wanted to create a macro that generate fresh/not expired token from dropbox. Currently i'm using " " as URL and Grant_type, code, Client_ID and Client secret for the Payload. it's working but when you run it twice you'll get and error ""error": "invalid_grant", "error_description": "code doesn't exist or has expired"". is there any other way to generate fresh access code from dropbox? i'm thinking i can append it to my text input and run it sa payload. Thanks
