Hi Carolyn,

Thanks for being in touch about grade exports! There are a couple of different options depending on the type of export you are looking for...

1) The first one is a Gradebook Export (Assess > Reports > Gradebook Export), which comes from each individual class and will provide a detailed report with individual scores on assignments, assessments, etc.

2) Next is the domain level Traditional Grade Report, which includes the subtotal scores from each class.

Both of these options export in CSV format, which can then be modified and imported, depending on the parameters of your current SIS. Most schools generally export a domain level grade report at grading periods/terms as needed. You can customize columns and Save the View, which helps save and easily generate the same report again.

The grade export is generally not an automated process. However, there may be other options depending on your current SIS. For example, there are options to set up automated exports in Genius for term grades and a gradebook export in Aeries. Here is a resource with additional information on how to set up a gradebook export for Aeries

If you have questions about your your specific SIS, or any of these resources, please feel free to reach out to your Community Advisor at comm...@haikulearning.com.

Best,
Jbid

Hi,
We are in the process of integrating Haiku with our school's IT system. And have an important meeting very early Wed.

Do others use the Haiku gradebook and export it into your own school's gradebook system?

How often do you sync?  And why that choice?
  • End of class at end of the semester only.
  • Once week for back-up?  Haiku had good back-up so do schools see this as needed.
  • Daily? So can look either place to see grades?
  • Or?
Thanks for your help, Carolyn Oates

Once it it is set up, it works really well. Populates rosters and makes it easy to bring in grades to Aeries. Working to set it up again for this year!
