Hi,
So only certain sections can see a page or assessment exam
Haiku allows via Page setting access per section.
and access to Assessments per section.

How are others using these settings?

Thanks, Carolyn Oates

Hi Carolyn,

Our teachers use these features in several ways.

  1. If multiple teachers teach the same course, they only have one Haiku class but then each have their own "pages" that are published to their sections only.  This allows collaboration between teachers, but still some wiggle room for individual sections.
  2. If different sections that a teacher teaches get off schedule, they can post information as needed to their particular sections.
Hope that helps!
Kate

I know that this is very late, but I in a similar fashion. We run two big groups, but they start at different times.  Also, depending on how you have things set up, you could split for needs. If Groupb B needs extra work to help them understand better, you can have an extra page just for them and Group A does not need to see it.

Best,

Nick

Hi,
Thanks for answering. Even now answers are welcome.

Our main problem is section settings are not passed on when we create a new Haiku class via Save As.
The most major set-up issue was: We had 15 lessons and the lowest level had 15 different assessments, so  it was 15 x 2 set-up for just assessments not counting pages that applied to just 1 section.

Our major section set-up problem was solved when we dropped Haiku support for Haiku for the lowest level for several reasons.  The lowest level students are the least committed, so the Haiku costs and set-up were not worth the effort.

Thanks, Carolyn
