Dear all,

When we peform scans for significantly fast-evolving gene families and detect p-values associated with expansion/contraction, do we need to correct for multiple testing?

I guess, the question is - how does multiple testing and false discover rate apply to these scans, that can span few to very many gene families?

Best regards,
Andreas

Hi Andreas,

I would say you definitely have to correct for multiple tests. The size of the family should not affect this, though.

cheers,
Matt
