Hi.

I had a look at the diagram you made Roy, and  .. I have not understood what is it exactly you want to do.

But from what I can read in your comments, as you say it, the problem is not so much the weight of the turbines as the position itself.

But, let us review basic specifications, just to be sure we agree on the same basics :
  • comfort : you have to sit there for a while
  • balance : if you have to exert yourself keeping your balance, you will exhaust quickly and are unable to apply mechanical efforts in transversal directions as they would compromise your balance
  • safety : you must be sure not to fall down
  • quite durable and re-usable : it should be left at the farm so it can be used next time by whoever comes for the maintenance
  • cheap
In your comments, when you wrote "steel bar", did you mean some kind of plank wide enough so you can walk on it, or a narrow bar ?

I think that a thick plank, put perpendicular to the existing I beam, if we can fasten it strongly would make it. What do you think ?

Have you received the dimensions of the mat's head from Oda or Utah ?

Okay I will update the drawing and include a person in the picture so
you can see what I have in mind. If that still doesn't work then we
can skype about it.

Yes I agree with all of these.
