Right guys and girls, I've begun to apply my brain to this topic and I
invite you to do the same. I've briefly gone through our
recommendations from last year and begun to draw up a list of things
to be done this year. I've broken them up into three levels of
priority.

Please would you add your own ideas to this list?

- or copy & paste it into your browser's address bar if that doesn't
work.

Thanks
Roy

Hi again,

Google tells me it was most probably a problem with the characters I
had in the page name. Instead I'm now reverting to my normal file/page
naming standard which is as follows:

1. no capital letters
2. no spaces, underscores _ instead
3. use - as a logical separator
4. no other funny characters like :

So below is the new name of the phase 2 page.

Hi there everyone,

i dont know much about the technical stuff but what I can tell you is that we put the two spare batteries on charge in December. Just for your information: Uta no longer works in the school, but for a MS-patient in Freiburg. Ill see if I can get you some support with the welding.

Regards, Oda

Roy. Did you get (or know where to get) the defect bridge rectifier
from the second wind turbine ?

Yes I have already bought 2. I gave them to Oda before her last trip
down to the farm. Oda where exactly are they again?

Uta´s keeping them safely;-)
Roy, I need to lnow what has to be measured up on the mast. ASAP please or write it directly to uta. There´s someone on the farm who can do it, but not for long.

I've added a response to Craig's initial comment and cleaned things up
a bit to make it clearer what is being discussed. I used the raw html
formatting tab to achieve this.

I've just updated the section on improved access to the wind turbines.
Please take a read and let me know what you think:

Hi Heauslebergers,

I would really appreciate some feedback on my input so far.

Hi roy,

sorry about the lack of feedback. I've been pretty busy on other
projects so hauselberg is on the back burner.

As for your design of the seat on the wind tower, I dont fully
understand it, but you seem to have thought it out well, so I trust
that its well designed. I see something for footing, but not for ass
relief.

As for the connected wind turbine, I didnt realize it was
disfunctional, but if you are confident the second is only a bridge
rectifier problem, then we can swap the turbines when we go.

Solar panels, yeah I think then the blocking diode goes away, but have
you decided to buy a second charge controller?

I am particularly interested in the data collection for phase 3, and
because I dont have much time to plan for phase two it seems perfect
for me. But in any case, I am fairly flexible in tasks.

Just to say I agree and so that everybody gets it clear :
  • if we had the second wind turbine, we need to add a second charge controller.
In this case, we need to change the wiring of the 2 PV panels by disconnecting one panel and connecting it onto the new charge controller with the 2nd wind turbine. And of course, in this case, we disconnect the bypass diodes which is now useless (and makes us loose a bit of voltage).
  • if we bring the new charge controller, even if for any reason, we cannot have 2 WTs running, we can still connect separately the 2 PV panels.
I am sure it was clear in the minds of those who were there last time, but we should have newcomers, and it does not cost much refreshing minds.
