No we haven't. I have the idea of being there for a week at the end of July.

This morning I spoke to Uta and she confirmed that this suits her as
her work load isn't so heavy around that time.

So my proposal is to go down on Friday 23 July and leave on Friday 30
July 2010. Is this suitable for the rest of you?

Those who only want to stay the weekend (23-25 July) that is okay.
Those who want to stay for the rest of the following week that is fine
too. All I ask is that you please insert your proposed
arrival/departure dates in the table here:

and let me know when you have done so.

Thanks
Roy

I had started to plan my schedule based on the account we were going there between the end of June and early July.

Basically, since I will be touring Germany, I am then likely to go there at this time anyway, if it suits Uta, as I am not sure I will be in Germany at the end of July.
I'll work on my own or with anybody who would also be there at the same time.

Even if I don't fix the wind turbines I can check the state of the PV and batteries and advance the wiring in the house.

Hmmm that isn't ideal. Our main constraint are school holidays. We can
make the trip earlier but not before 9 July 2010. It would at least be
good for our stays to overlap by a day or two for a proper handover.
If we move the dates to include 10-17July 2010 would you be prepared
to stay until the 12th of July?

Initially I was disappointed about this but then thought it through a
bit. You can be the reconnaissance mission, do initial fault finding
and then let me know what spare parts/extra bits need to be purchased
based on whatever faults you find. Although it won't be nearly as much
fun being there without you.

Uta has decided she wants both turbines up and running as she doesn't
want to go through another winter without the ability to light her
way, charge mobile phones, computers and to run a soon to be acquired
modem for internet. This means buying another charge controller which
will allow us to separate the solar modules. It would however be super
if you could take down the currently installed turbine and find out
what is wrong with it. It may be necessary for me to buy a spare part
or two to get it working again.

Would you be able to come through Kassel on your way to Uta? I could
purchase all the necessary stuff and you can take it down. This would
include the new charge controller which would allow you to separate
the solar panels.

Let me know what you think of these ideas.

Regards
Roy
