Custom changes to disk security metadata should not be applied to theDiskSecurity.xml file itself. The disk security metadata can becontained in multiple files. All disk security metadata do not have tobe contained only in the DiskSecurity.xml file. You can create anynumber of additional disk security metadata files. To customize disksecurity, you should create an additional file with the xmlextension in the %plesk_dir%etc\DiskSecurity directory and specifyadditional security rules in the file. This will enable you to trackchanges and manipulate sets of security metadata easily.

Disk security rule entries have the same format as hosting security rule entries. To learn about the entry attributes in more detail, refer to General Security Metadata Structure. We also recommend that you see the example provided below.

Data Box Disk provides a secure solution for data protection by ensuring that only authorized entities can view, modify, or delete your data. The security features for this solution are for the disk and for the associated service ensuring the security of the data stored on them.

This article provides steps about how to delete personal data from the device or service and can be used to support your obligations under the GDPR. For general information about GDPR, see the GDPR section of the Microsoft Trust Center and the GDPR section of the Service Trust portal.

Notification settings - When you create an order, you configure the email address of users under notification settings. This information can be viewed by the administrator. This information is deleted by the service when the job reaches the terminal state or when you delete the order.

A Mac with Apple silicon uses the sophisticated security features of its signed system volume to protect your Mac against malicious tampering. By default, your Mac uses the highest level of security, called Full Security. Before a legacy system extension (also known as a kernel extension or kext) can be installed on a Mac computer with Apple silicon, the security policy must be changed to Reduced Security.

Allow remote management of kernel extensions and automatic software updates: Authorizes remote management of legacy kernel extensions and software updates using a mobile device management (MDM) solution.

Unlike security policies on an Intel-based Mac, security policies on a Mac with Apple silicon are for each installed operating system. This means that multiple installed macOS instances with different versions and security policies are supported on the same Mac. For this reason, an operating system picker has been added to Startup Security Utility.

Full Security and Reduced Security can be set using Startup Security Utility from recoveryOS. But Permissive Security can be accessed only from command-line tools for users who accept the risk of making their Mac much less secure.

USB Disk Security is an application developed as a non-standard anti-virus application which helps protect your home PC against threats from USB devices such as trojans, malware or viruses hiding within the folders of a USB disk drive. The developers of this application promise to be able to locate and detect viruses from USB devices which standard Anti-virus software applications fail to detect.USB Disk Security, however, is actually a pretty static and offline Antivirus software which can work with and at the same time as other antivirus products you might have running on your system. The program promises to provide 100% protection against malware, though their claims of this are actually a little bit questionable as no one company can actually provide 100% protection against anything when it has to do with malicious software. The program supports a variety of USB devices and indeed most that are recognized and viewable as a drive in Windows. This includes protection from USB Hard drives, flash disks, digital memory cards, thumb drives, portable Apple products and others. USB Disk Security promises protection against malware on portable storage devices.Features of USB Disk Security

  • Compatible with all antivirus software.
  • Free for personal use
  • Never slow down your computer.
  • Prevent data loss via USB storage.
  • Prevent known and unknown threats via USB storage.
  • Protect offline computers
Compatibility and LicenseIs USB Disk Security free to download?USB Disk Security is a freeware, but ad-supported application available on Windows from antivirus. You may encounter different types of ads or offers when running and installing this program. Though ads might be present, download and installation of this PC software is free and 6.8.0.0 is the latest version last time we checked.

You can create a secure disk group fromsecurity capable physical disks. When you create a secure disk groupfrom security capable physical disks, the physical disks in that diskgroup become security enabled. When a security capable physical diskhas been security enabled, the physical disk requires the correctsecurity key from a RAID controller module to read or write the data. All the physical disks and RAID controller modules in a storagearray share security key. The shared security key providesread and write access to the physical disks, while the physical diskencryption key on each physical disk is used to encrypt the data.A security capable physical disk works like any other physical diskuntil it is security enabled.

Whenever the poweris turned off and turned on again, all the security enabled physicaldisks change to a security locked state. In this state, the data isinaccessible until the correct security key is provided by a RAIDcontroller module.

You can erase security enabled physical disksso that you can reuse the physical disks in another disk group orin another storage array. When you erase security enabled physicaldisks, ensure that the data cannot be read. When all the physicaldisks that you have selected in the Physical Disk type pane are securityenabled, and none of the selected physical disk is part of a diskgroup, the Secure Erase option is displayedin the Hardware menu.

Thestorage array password protects a storage array from potentially destructiveoperations by unauthorized users. The storage array password is independentfrom self encrypting disk, and should not be confused with the passphrase that is used to protect copies of a security key. However,it is good practice to set a storage array password.

I apologize for bringing up a competitors product in this forum. But I am trying to steer towards a fundamental platform choice and have come across Balena as an alternative to Ubuntu Core.
However from what I understand in this forum, it seems that Balena does not support disk encryption at all, which is somewhat surprising to me.
This would be essential to my application, as users would have first hand physical access to devices.

Are there any resources in the community that works on this or have the same need as we do?
If anyone has implemented or experimented with BalenaOS disk encryption support, maybe in their own branch or with a custom backend, I would be very interested to hear from your experiences.

I bought a 2018 MacBook Pro on eBay, at first it had MDM lock, which the seller disabled, I could use it without problems, when I updated Sonoma I had problems with the battery, so I decided to return to Ventura, I created a USB with the Ventura bootable , when I accessed COMMAND+R I deleted the main SSD to do a clean installation, it could be named Macintosh HD, APFS format and GUID scheme, when I wanted to access the USB with Ventura from the beginning by pressing only OPTION, after selecting the USB, The window appears that says SECURITY SETTINGS DO NOT ALLOW THIS MAC TO USE AN EXTERNAL STARTUP DISK, I accessed COMMAND+R and tried to activate that option but it appears: no administrator was found, try to install the MacOs High Sierra which is the default It appears on the main screen but I get: The Recovery Server Could Not Be Contacted.

Am guessing it's a T2 MBP... If the Base system partition of the said machine is okay... delete the Macintosh partition, get an external drive APFS formatted and Restore the Macintosh drive of the same working MBP onto the drive... then restore the macOS Image on the external hard drive onto the "no administrator found" MacBook... in Recovery mode the machine will allow you restore IMAGE but can't boot from external drive. Good luck.

You should have used your bootable macOS USB installer and erased the internal SSD while booted from USB. The 2018-2020 Intel Macs utilize a T2 security chip which requires at least one valid admin user account to be registered on the computer which also means the internal SSD must be fully functional including a working macOS. Once you erased the internal SSD, you also destroyed any known macOS user accounts associated with the internal SSD boot drive.

As @Barney-15E already mentions, your only option now is to reinstall macOS from Recovery Mode (Command + R) or Internet Recovery Mode (Command + Option + R) which should allow you to reinstall the last installed OS or to install the latest supported OS for that system (both will be installed from online servers through Internet Recovery Mode since the internal SSD is now blank).

If you receive large negative error codes when trying to boot into Internet Recovery Mode, then try connecting the Mac to the router using an Ethernet cable for a faster & more reliable network connection which bypasses hard to troubleshoot WiFi issues (you would need a USB-C to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter as well).

Apple has made a large number of changes to their Macs over the last several years, so I highly recommend you do some research to better understand how these newer Macs have changed & how they work now. A lot of the old tricks no longer apply (or are no longer reliable).

Did you get a Startup Assistant when you opened it the first time or did you just log into a previously created account? Since it had MDM, even if you went through the Startup Assistant, it likely didn't create your account as admin capable.
