Hi all

First, I must say that this project is exactly what is missing to a Windows "Home" Server, and, as I use Win2K12 Essential, it is perfect as a service. I used to use uTorrent as a service with SrvAny before testing Hadouken.

But I'm experiencing some performance issues with Hadouken. Actually, I can download the OpenSuse release à 10Mb/s with uTorrent while I can hardly get 2Mb/s with Hadouken (tests done at the same time, same place, same computer, etc...).

Just wondering why there is so much performance difference between the two bittorrent client.

Keep on going, an dif you need more testing... just ask. Will be glad to help you.

Cheers !

I'm having exactly same problems..
My internet connection is capable of 8 MiB/s, and HDKN downloads at ~1.7-2.4 MiB/s (where uTorrent will use full capacity of the network on same torrent)

Sorry, no. I can't seem to replicate this. Is it only on some torrents or all?

Hi,

I was just testing the last v5.2 version and I'm very please with all the way Hdkn has been upgraded. Really, I like it !

But I'm still having some performance problems with Hdkn, comparing to uTorrent, and I cannot understand why at the moment...

Both use the same port, one is shutdown when the other is testing, and put the same number of total peers (5000)... Maybe some fine tuning is needed ???

Any idea ?

Thanks for your help

Well... I found something, more or less !

For a reason or another, write-caching was put to disable on my Win2K12 server system disk, which surely is the main reason for some bottleneck (for Hdkn ans the server itself !).
Now, I'm more between 5 and 8Mb/s for a Debian iso torrent, which is not as fast as uTorrent, but is "normal".

Anyway, if there is some fine tuning to do, or some hidden parameters, I would be very happy to know them ! :)

Cheers
