Hi All,

Below are the questions were asked me in hadoop, can anybody answer these please.

Q1. what are the different UDFs available in HIVE?

Q2. if you can please provide me the link or material for --> " how map-reduce works and what are its different stages?" 

Q3. what are the advantages over connecting HIVE+RDBMS via sqoop over connecting RDMS to HDFS and dump the data to HDFS and then process the data into HIVE.
