“Only Islam can unite us. The Humanity wants to be Muslim. Islam is a gift given by Allah to some. Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) uncle Abu Talib immensely supported his nephew but he himself could not become Muslim,” said the Imam.
The accursed Imam of Masjidun nabawi spoke only for 5 minutes but still made it a point to level false accusations on Mohsin-e-Islam Abu Talib a.s.
These are the Muslims with whom we wish to unite. As Shias is it our foremost duty to reply to such baseless accusations against the highest personalities of our faith rather than welcome them in our arms under the banner of ettihad (unity).
'Jamaate Islam Hind' (JIH) where this speech was made is none other than the 'Muslim Brotherhood' who Shias are courting fervently in Gaza and elsewhere for political ettihad. This political ettihad is being peddled in India and elsewhere as religious ettihad.
The above article reports on ettihad among Muslims (read Sunnis/Wahhabis) where the speaker made it a point to highlight the immense support of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) - the Prophet's (sawa) uncle, who according to them was not even a Muslim (Allah forbid). He did not believe that such talk about Abu Talib a.s. would harm ettihad. But we Shias for sake of ettihad ignore topics like oppression of caliphs on Janabe Zahra (s.a.) and Ameerul Momineen (a.s.) because we fear it will harm ettihad.
When they don't think twice about Abu Talib (a.s.), why should we care about Abu Bakr and Umar (l.a.)?
