في كل يوم نرى عجائب خلقك سبحانك ياعظيم وغفرانك ياغفور

How Grains of sand really look like after magnified to 250 times

Who knew sand could look so damn colourful and interesting? Gary Greenberg, that’s who, whose incredible microphotography reveals each grain of sand to be a kaleidoscope of colour and texture that defies its rather bland reputation.

The following grains of sand  images show what they look like after a microscope to magnify hundreds of times. These  grains of sand looks like jewelry or candy. Think of this scene every time you cross the desert or on the shores of the sea.

Photographer, inventor, and scientist, Dr Gary Greenberg has devoted his life to revealing the secret beauty of nature. Beginning his career as photographer and filmmaker, he worked on the first Superman film where he transformed human pancreatic cancer cells into the planet Kyrpton. After earning a Ph.D. in biomedical research, he went on to invent high-definition, three-dimensional light microscopes, for which he was issued eighteen US patents.
