For the last 11 years, New Year’s Eve in Haddonfield has meant six
hours overflowing with more than 60 high quality performances – plus
two traditional New Year’s Eve countdown shows with fireworks.
The cost? About 20 cents per performance.
How has this been possible? Scores of individuals and businesses in
our community have reached into their pockets not only in prosperous
but also in tough economic times to support one of our region’s
premier events: First Night Haddonfield. This broad-based support is
one of the key reasons why our cultural, arts, and entertainment
events continue to be reasonably priced. And, at a time when people
are traveling less, these hometown events are even more appreciated.
We’ve held the price of this year’s First Night to $12 per person,
anticipating that our sponsors will continue to support community
events in the fashion that has made our town and our region what they
are today: the envy of the Delaware Valley and the entire Garden
State.
But, because times are indisputably “tough,” we need more help this
year to preserve the First Night tradition in our community, not only
for our families and neighbors, but also for the more than 9,000
people from throughout the region who join us each year.
For $12, you can enjoy six hours of entertainment, all kinds of music,
the arts, dancing and fireworks. And you can help keep First Night in
Haddonfield the best New Year’s Eve value in the region. For more
