What is the aim of the new video gallery plug-in? Is it to manage
links to sites like youtube.com or to actually host videos?

It's a bit of both. I'm writing it to help me create a 'tube site'
which
will index and display embedded flash videos from external providers
(like Youtube).

But as the owners will possibly add video uploading and hosting to it,
and because a lot of the code would be the same for that (such as
automatic thumbnails and all the indexing & categorising stuff), I
thought calling it Video Library would be ok.

It's quite a complicated project and there'll end up being a lot of
different scripts, admin pages and cli stuff in the plugin I think.

Please do have a look and if you feel like it, suggest any style
improvements!
