St. Pete, FL -- Dr. Rajiv Sahay, CIAQP, FAIS, Lab Director with
Environmental Dioagnostic Laboratory (EDLab) at Pure Air Control
Serrvices has been appointed to the prestigoius American Industrial
Hygiene Assosciation (AIHA) LAP, LLC, Analytical Accreditation Board
(AAB) for a three-year term effective January 2010. The AAB
orientation and training for new members started on January 18, 2010
in Scotsdale, AZ.

The Analytical Accreditation Board (AAB) is comprised of eighteen (18)
members in all, each serving three-year terms with the exception of
the ex-officio representatives and officers (chair, vice chair, and
past chair). AAB members are required to be a graduate of an
accredited institution of higher education holding a bachelors degree
in industrial hygiene, chemistry, physics, engineering, biology or
other scientific discipline who has been engaged a majority of his/her
time in analytical laboratory activities (analysis or interpretation
of data) for at least three years.

The AAB has wide-ranging individual responsibilities to AIHA-LAP, LLC
include:

· Represent the broad customer base of AIHA-LAP, LLC;
· Commit to the AIHA-LAP, LLC Long-Range Strategic Plan;
· Become familiar with and support the AIHA-LAP, LLC defined
roles and responsibilities;
· Participate (actively and constructively) in activities
consistent with the AIHA-LAP, LLC defined roles and responsibilities,
as assigned;
· Become knowledgeable of policies governing the AIHA-LAP,
LLC;
· Enhance AIHA-LAP, LLC’s public standing;
· Assist in recruiting, orienting, and mentoring new Board
members;
· Collaborate with AIHA-LAP, LLC staff and other AAB members to
make the most effective decisions possible;
· Disclose conflicts of interest and excuse yourself from any
discussions where conflict may exist;
· Vote objectively on issues after listening to relevant
facts;
· Bring relevant issues to the attention of the AAB;
· Chair and/or participate in task forces as assigned;
· Speak with one voice (meaning that once the AAB has fully
deliberated a given topic and a decision has been made, that you will
publicly support the decision);
· Provide expertise on a variety of issues; and
· Follow all AIHA-LAP, LLC administrative procedures as
applicable to the AAB.
