Andrew Paolantonio Quartet
The Andrew Paolantonio
Quartet, four young jazz musicians, will perform at 4 pm at the Ashe
House, 144 North Wake St, in Hillsborough.
A reception sponsored by
The Saratoga Grill will follow the performance.
Tickets: $17.50. Seating is limited.

Cafe Music
A classical trio will
perform Cafe Music for the third Parlor Concert at the Burnside House,
220 South Cameron Street in Hillsborough.
Cafe Music, featuring
works of Paul Schoenfield, Antonin Dvorak and others will be performed
by the classical trio, Dr. Karen Allred, pianist of the music faculty
at Meredith College in Raleigh with Dr. Edith Gettes, violin and Dr.
Jason Thomas, cello.
A reception sponsored by
Weaver Street Market will follow the performance.
Tickets: $17.50. Seating is limited.

Arts & Crafts Show.
We are looking forward to another successful event! Don't miss it!
The Arts and Crafts Show is a juried show, sponsored by the
Hillsborough Arts Council. Original, high quality, handcrafted items
and art work by over 30 local artists will be displayed and available
for sale on the lawn of the Visitor’s Center at 150 East King Street
in downtown Hillsborough; April 17, 2010.
There will also be entertainment by great musicians throughout the day!
New Promotion for Local Artists
The
Hillsborough Arts Council announces a program to promote local artists
by having take-away cards on display in the Council's office. Each
artist's card will have an image of their artwork or of the artist,
business name, artist statement, bio, contact information, and business
hours if applicable.
In addition we will add this information to our online Artist Registry.
If interested, please sign-up at the
Hillsborough Arts Council website. This is a free service to eligible artists that live or work in or near
Hillsborough or in northern Orange County.

downtown Hillsborough beginning Friday, April 30, 2010 !
Last Fridays Vendor Applications will soon be up on our website.

Symphony fund-raising
event
Hosted by The
Hillsborough Gallery of Arts Thursday, February 25th from 6 to 9 pm.
“Music to Your Eyes” will
include a reception and a drawing for various symphony-related items
and gift certificates for the gallery. Tickets are $10 and available at
the door or through rs...@ncsymphony.org.
