Just got this email from the city. I'd recommend anyone interested in seeing the films who doesn't mind doing some volunteer work on either side of the evening to sign up. It's good for the city, it's good for you… in some way.

> The third annual Downtown Tyler Film Festival is approaching quickly and volunteers are encouraged to sign up athttp://downtowntyler.ivolunteer.com/dtfilmfestival.
>
> Volunteers will be assigned to take tickets and assist the audience to find seats before the show begins in exchange for free entrance into the festival.
>
> The Festival nights are as follows:
> • Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 7 p.m.: Films “Made in the USA”
> • Thursday, Sept. 26 at 7 p.m.: Home-Grown Texas Films
> • Friday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m.: Foreign Film Night
> • Donation Matinee – Saturday, Sept. 28 at 3 p.m.: Student and Art Films
> • Saturday, Sept. 28 at 7 p.m.: The Best of the Fest
>
> Volunteer positions are filled on a first come first served basis, so sign up quickly to get the night of your choice.
>

Very regrettably I'm going to be out of town during the event. It falls squarely in the middle of my "Month of Crazy". How crazy? I'm not even sure if I'll be in DC, Oakland or Venezuela when it's happening. Definitely probably one of those places.

I am completely confident you are going to kick ass.

Long live the blinky things!

Chris

Month of crazy sounds like month of awesome. Enjoy!

And thanks! For anyone who does want to see our film (known as either "No Matter How Far" or "All The Blinky Things! All Of Them! Blink!"), we show in the Thursday night block. If we do well, we'll show Saturday night too, but we don't know about that yet.

Either way, volunteer!
