Would you guys be interested in doing some skill sharing and have some actual 'hack nights' where we get together - drink beer - code together?

I think it would be fun to, as a group, pick a project and work on it.

Another thing we could try to do is have small lightening talks for 15-30 minutes of a topic we learned or want to share.  I like to learn, and we all work on different things so I think it would be interesting to see more insight to other fields / technologies.

It also think it's worth suggestion that we try going to TJC / UT campus and promote that we're having these kinds of "hack nights" where they can come and learn real world problems / technologies and help them learn as well.

Just a thought - any suggestions / comments / flame?

Perhaps I'm having a really severe case of dejavu, but I could have
sworn you made this suggestion a year ago.

I'd be up for presentations, but I don't have time to hack, though
that could certainly be done by the rest of the group without me.

I'd love to do this, but with my travel plans being unpredictable, I probably can't commit to any particular schedule. If you're interested in putting something together I'll certainly try to be there. And I'm always happy to offer place as a rally point if we need one.

Best,
Chris
