2015 AGM

Hi all. It's already time to have our AGM. I'm going to provisionally set it at Thursday the 12th of November at 7pm at the space.

If any paying members can't make it that night please let me know ASAP as we need to have at least a 50% turnout for quorum.

Also, if anyone has any agenda items they would like discussed let me know.

Sorry, I can not make it that night as in slough that week

Agenda items

H&S - Think this needs reviewing given the increase in membership and the new tools arriving

Split of room. - think there would be merit in the blocking up of the break out room from the workshop - we should keep the "Electronics room" clean free from as much dust as possible

Storage - We should invest in shelving / storage in the break out room to enable or more to the point prevention of the dust and grime gathering on all the equipment in the main room

Hand Tools - Can we look at the purchase of a quality hand drill.

Laser beams - We need one one our lives

Reception area - This need to be a clear zone not a storage. 

Group project

My suggestion on a group project is one that would be good for Security. I think we should put access control on the two doors from the reception area RFiD? Implants :-) We could also link this up with security Camera's so any members know that people are in and the space is open. Not forgetting the obvious fact we would improve our basic security.

I am happy to contribute to an extra pot £ for this + I have some almost new dome cameras to donate (not IP) that would work if we built a PC based system 9 i have a CCTv card also that would be donated

About the shelving, I have lots of IKEA Ivar shelving and would happily donate some of it. Lots of tall uprights (~2.30m) and smaller ones. Along with 90x30 and 90x60 shelves. I'll do the delivery of course.
