Excited to invite you to today's #HHNBO meetup on Digital-First/Mobile-First newsrooms & media, co-hosted with the Google News Lab, ICFJ and Code for Africa's just launched StoryLab Academy.

What are the skills journalists need to navigate this new eco-system? How can they harness technology to do better journalism? How can newsrooms adapt to becoming digital-first newsrooms ?

Kenyan journalists, like many others in the continent, are experiencing the disruptive impact of new digital technologies in the way they generate and disseminate news.  Journalists are being forced to adapt to new ways of telling stories as the influences of digitization, internet, and social media is changing how their previously captive audiences engage with the news. 

These changes are having an impact in how newsrooms organise their workflow systems and how they produce their content. During today's Hacks/Hackers we will be discussing how journalists can take advantage of these digital technologies to engage with their audiences and enhance their story-telling.
