The StoryLab academy is an intensive digital skills programme (StoryLab Academy) in partnership with Google News Lab and the World Bank Group.

The initiative, run as an Academy out of Code for Africa (CfA) award-winning StoryLab journalism laboratory, will use a combination of online webinars and face-to-face learning to help entire newsrooms adopt new digital ways to find and tell the news.

The programme has a number of components comprised of Massive Online Courses and public workshops through the hacks/hackers chapters. The online course provides an opportunity for participants to learn about one tool at a time at their own pace. The public workshops provide sustained physical engagement where participants get to share knowledge on the various tools.
