Do you want to a shortcut to kickstarting #DataJournalism or #OpenData projects in Uganda?

Code for Africa has an entire portfolio of of completely free #OpenSource civic technology projects that you can re-use or customise for your community.

Each project comes with code, data, and advice / assistance from our CitizenLab tech team.

The projects range from simple ways to track whether mining companies are keeping their promises to local communities, to ways for checking whether your doctor is fake / dangerous, whether you are earning a living wage, whether you're being overcharged for medicines, or who the most influential politicians or journalists on Twitter are in your region.
