Hacks/Hackers Africa now biggest in the global network on Facebook

Hey guys,

Our umbrella Hacks/Hackers Africa group on Facebook reached 5,000 likes this morning, making it the largest HH group on the platform in the world.

HH-Africa has deliberately used an umbrella group, so folk in Cape Town can see what their counterparts in Kigali, to Kampala, or any of the 14 active chapters on the continent are doing.

Some of the more impressive stuff includes the current IdeasLab news incubation programme (http://ideaslab.ntvuganda.co.ug/) being spearheaded by the HH-Kampala chapter in Uganda. Upcoming hackathons include a security / encryption hackday at HH-Accra (in Ghana), and the proposed international EcoHack (http://ecohack.org/) collaborations with HH-Jozi & HH-CapeTown.
