I was always curious how taxes are calculated exactly,

TurboTax and similar software hide the complexities.

So I created a simple calculator that calculates Federal, State, Social Security and Medicare tax,

Just Launched it, hope you find it helpful.

Yes mike, I didn't get appropriate info on taxes for all states. So that's why still working on state taxes

I'm almost certain that I'm being overtaxed so tried your calculator - I notice that there's $0 in the State Tax for NY - assume that's one of the ones you are getting to?
