We'll continue on with doing "hack nights" and see how things go. In April we had a wide-ranging discussion covering everything from graph databases to the AT protocol of Bluesky. We found some school geo data of school attendance areas that I didn't know was out there and so in June I'll show off the app I built with it. (
https://epaulson.github.io/dane-county-schools/ ) It's also a (special) election day so I'll hopefully show off some new features to my election results reporting website.
We're trying a different night of the week this time, I know Thursdays were hard for some folks. No night is perfect but I'm hoping that a Tuesday might be better. We will probably continue to bounce around a bit, especially because the Zoom room is often booked so we can't always get the first day we ask for.
As before, there is no structured agenda or scheduled speaker. It's low stakes, no pressure, just drop in. We’ll play it by ear and see what folks who show up want to do. It might just be more conversation around tech and data, or people working on their own, or a couple of folks trying to bang out a quick piece of code that evening, or maybe all of the above!
We'll be at Pinney Library on Cottage Grove Road from 6pm to 8pm on Tues June 17th in Community Room B.
This is a hybrid event so you can join via Zoom. Pinney has a Zoom Room setup and it's worked well for people in the library and for remote folks.
We hope to see you there!
