In preparation for writing a keynote, Ashe is asking if there are currently any ongoing local diversity initiatives. What ones has everyone here come across?

Jason Woofenden and I run the Code-In at Owl and Raven, which is a drop-in event every second Saturday from 2 to 5 where anyone who programs or has interest in coding brings what they're working on to do in one another's company and to socialize. It was started with an intent to be intersectionally feminist and open to diverse programmers, and is intended to foster a supportive, social, and collaborative atmosphere among all its attendees.
