Just passing along a few civic hacking opportunities of interest.

37 Billion Mile Challenge
Massachusetts is running a 37 Billion Mile challenge to figure out why MA cars and trucks drive 37 billion miles each year: http://www.37billionmilechallenge.org/. There's a related datathon this Saturday, 3/22, but that's optional. Challenge entries aren't due until 4/19.

5/30-31: Transparency Camp - Scholarships Available
The Sunlight Foundation is convening civic hackers and open government advocates in Washington, DC for its annual Transparency Camp unconference on Friday, 5/30 and Saturday, 5/31. I've attended several times (and will again this year)--it's a tremendous group of people and a lot of fun.

Sunlight has money available for travel scholarships--applications are due 3/28: http://sunlightfoundation.com/blog/2014/03/08/apply-to-be-a-tcamp-2014-scholar/
