Seeking status update

Hi Everyone,

I'm scheduling the day off work for the hackathon (we don't get MLK day off) but there haven't been many updates in the last month so I just want to confirm that the event is online & proceeding according to schedule.

A few questions:

1. What's the official website? I must include this in my volunteer day request & I would like to share it with friends as well (hoping some friends will attend)

2. Is there preregistration?  If so, what's the URL for this?

3. What's the schedule for Sunday & Monday?  (I have some conflicts, want to make sure they're not too conflicty)

4. Are there challenges/nonprofits/etc. on deck?

Hi, Sequoia and everyone else,

We’ve decided to cancel the hackathon. Sorry to get back to you so late on this, I needed to talk to some of the people here about the hackathon’s status, and it took a while to arrange that (vacations, etc.). I’m the only one who’s been around for much of the last month, and I’ve been too busy to make much progress on the necessities, and we wanted to ensure a quality event and that just wasn’t going to happen. We got the airplane onto the runway, but it’s better to abort the takeoff than try to make it fly. We are still very interested in this, and we’re soon going to discuss another attempt, but with a longer runway :-).

I really appreciate the interest and assistance of the Hack for Western Mass community over the last few months, and look forward to seeing you at the next Hack for Change if not before.
