The Polar Hack now has the wind at its back! http://www3.amherst.edu/~aanderson/polarhack/

Note the next meeting on this site.

At the last meeting, we put together a budget and put more structure on our media efforts. Our plan is to start general announcements next week.

Hi Andy.  It was nice to see you the other night. Glad to hear the planning process seems to be going well!

I'm wondering if there are any particular types of projects that you expect to fit well with the skills and interests of likely attendees?  I'm thinking about reaching out to some local groups.

I think you said there would be more detailed information about the event available soon. It would be helpful to have a url for prospective project sponsors to peruse.  Would it be appropriate to include this on the hackforwesternmass site?

Thanks,
Andrew

Hi, Andrew,

Good seeing you, too. It was a nice send-off for Molly.

I’ve reserved polarhack.org, but it’s not set up yet. Our media’s a bit behind, unfortunately, but it should be within the next week! Then it will be time to post on other web sites (link from hackforwesternmass.org) and reach out to potential participants. We’ll definitely appreciate your help on this.

It’s hard to know what’s going to “fit”, but I think there will be a lot of flexibility unless the recipient is very specific about technologies they want to use. Ultimately we’ll have to wait and see until the day.
