Glad to see someone has taken up my suggestion of a pcb router, however I don't think we're in a position to be ordering stuff just yet, this is not a good time to order stuff anyway. I think we need to finalise a design first, I am proposing to use kitchen drawer runners as the bearings for each axis, these are quite rigid when mounted in the vertical Direction as in a drawer but not so hot in the horizontal Direction, therefore I am proposing to use two pairs of drawer runners on each axis mounted at right angles to each other, a range of drawer runners can be purchased from ironmongery Direct on a 30 day sale or return basis with free Returns so nothing to lose by trying these, once we have selected suitable drawer runners we can then finalize a design any comments or suggestions thanks regards Russell.
