What is your favorite quote from an inventor you love or were inspired by?  Do you have any from female inventors?  How about African American inventors or other inventors of color?  Please share here.

We will be including some of the best suggestions we get from you as art on the inside cover of our kit.

Thanks,

“When you can measure what you are speaking about, and express it in numbers, you know something about it; but when you cannot measure it, when you cannot express it in numbers, your knowledge is of a meagre and unsatisfactory kind; it may be the beginning of knowledge, but you have scarcely, in your thoughts, advanced to the stage of science, whatever the matter may be.”

― William Thomson, 1st Baron Kelvin (aka Lord Kelvin)

There is a famous African  American inventor name Elijah McCoy from the 1800's
What base on him was the term the real McCoy meaning he created a lubricant for the rail road train system . And meany people try to copy it and try to pass it off as the real thing air-go the term The Real McCoy!

He's way too wordy but these are correct for what you are doing...

"I am opposed to the laying down of rules or conditions to be observed in the construction of bridges lest the progress of improvement tomorrow might be embarrassed or shackled by recording or registering as law the prejudices or errors of today."
-- Isambard Kingdom Brunel

or maybe

"Aeroplanes are not designed by science, but by art in spite of some pretence and humbug to the contrary. I do not mean to suggest that engineering can do without science, on the contrary, it stands on scientific foundations, but there is a big gap between scientific research and the engineering product which has to be bridged by the art of the engineer."
-- Isambard Kingdom Brunel
