Introduction of visiting computer scientist to Garoa

Dear all, 

I am Ben, a computer/data scientist who currently works in London. 

I am visiting Campinas -  Sao Paulo for the next two weeks and wonder whether I could  visit/participate in one of your events to get to know the Sao Paulo CS/Python/hacker scene.

It would be great having some exchange and bounce a few ideas.

thanks a lot for the the links. I will say hello to the the folks from Campinas Hackerspace. 

Please feel free to post about events in Sao Paulo as well. I noted there is a Garoa meeting on 21st May 2024, but not sure whether it is a public event.

On May 18 (next Sunday) there is the BSides-SP conference (https://securitybsides.com.br/2024/). Garoa and other Brazilian hackerspaces will be present.

The CMC meetings are public events, but (since Covid) most are remote. I will update here if there is confirmation that this one will be in-person.

Hello Daniel, 

Thanks for raising attention for the conference and it looks to me the event in question is indeed to be held in person. I just tried to buy two tickets, on eventbrite, see here

but I am prompted they are all sold out. 

Are you aware of any spare tickets, or can visitors just show up? Probably not everyone who was issued a ticket will attend.
