can anyone give some more detail on the learning python study group
meeting today?

In particular, when does is start, what will it cover?

Sorry about not updating the event details completely. The complete event details are at https://www.facebook.com/events/271170049662669/ and it is from 8-10pm.

This is less of a class and more of a study group. It aims to provide a conducive environment for learners of all levels to learn python on their on, using various resources like

- Learn Python the hard way (LPTHW)

- How to think like a Computer Scientist Interactive Edition http://interactivepython.org/courselib/static/thinkcspy/index.html

- Computer Science Circles http://cscircles.cemc.uwaterloo.ca

- (and recently) codeacademy

There are experienced mentors around who will be on hand to lend a helping hand if any of the learners have any queries.

For this session (and maybe in future sessions), there will be a very short segment of teaching on topics/tips and tricks that are not commonly found in LPTHW and other teaching resources.

If you are really keen on being invited for future events, please join the Singapore Python Platoon (https://www.facebook.com/groups/337504009663063/). It tentatively happens on Monday evening for the past 3 weeks.
