Would you attend a conference on Deepavali?! (Nov13)

Hello everybody,

I'm wondering how you would estimate developers are involved in Deepavali celebrations these days.

We're tending to schedule our JScamp conference that date, but I'm not sure it would be appreciated.

Perhaps we have a few Hindu friends here (other opinions welcome as well) who could share their feedback?

Would be a bad idea to have it on holiday, because not the people
celebrating the occasion but others could be planning for a holiday
tour too.

Agreed with Senthil.

I personally will be able to attend (not much of a traditional festival fan although I am Hindu) but many other (possibly even not Indian/Hindu) might take the holiday to travel out of Singapore.
