Are (m)any of you interested in a group outing to watch this late
tomorrow evening? Seats remain available at most cinemas:

- <http://www.gv.com.sg/searchMovie.jsp?loc=-&movie=8872&x=9&y=11> (3D)
- <https://www.shaw.sg/imax/> (3D, IMAX)

Not tomorrow, but I might be persuaded to go on Saturday night.

Having seen the trailer in 3D IMAX, I will naturally feel compelled to
watch the movie in the same format.

Yes. Any time!

Also, I hear some theatres are doing a Star Trek marathon...

I do not think 2 movies counts as a marathon.

Of course, all 12 would require ~24 hours, which may be longer than most
people will stay awake.

Nominate time on Saturday? I'm in, so I guess that makes:

vikram
roland
scott
patrick

It'd be cool to centralize the purchasing so that we can make snarky
comments during any parts that demand audience participation.

ACK.

Roland's preference reduces our options to:

- IMAX Lido, 1:10PM
- IMAX Lido, 12:30AM (Sunday)
- IMAX JCube, 6:40PM
- IMAX JCube, 12:15AM (Sunday)

JCube is in the middle of nowhere, leaving:

- IMAX Lido, 1:10PM
- IMAX Lido, 12:30AM (Sunday)

I nominate the most sensibly timed:

- IMAX Lido, 1:10PM

> It'd be cool to centralize the purchasing

What's protocol for this?

IMAX 3D options are a bit limited. For Saturday they are:
  • Lido (Orchard Rd) at 1:10PM
  • JCube (Jurong East) at 6:40PM
I'm happy to trek out to Jurong, are others?

(I should also point out that the tickets are double-price ($22) for this format.)

1. Does anybody prefer an alternative theatre or timing?

2. Otherwise, of those [available](http://i.imgur.com/dUThhxt.png),
does anyone see a collection of four seats they particularly like
the look of?

I care not for the price or location.

Pick something and I'll comp whoever for the ticket.

On reflection, I'll lean towards Lido 1:10PM but am still happy with any of. Am happy to comp or buy.

Patrick?

I have purchased four tickets for the 1:10PM showing of _Star Trek: Into
The Darkness_ in 3D IMAX at Shaw Theatres Lido. Seats I7..I10, because
the cat behind the counter told me that of those seats that were
available, they were the best.

..and because I hadn't read Patrick's message. Oops.

Shall we meet in the lobby at one?
My cell is `curl -s "http://vikramverma.com" | grep cell | cut -d'"' -f4`.

nice way of saying it, but why do u quote the url?
there are no special chars in it. (to bash at least...)

i would just say:
curl -s http://vikramverma.com | grep cell | cut -d\" -f4
or
curl -s http://vikramverma.com | awk -F\" '/cell/ {print $4}'
for using only 1 util and raise awk awareness ;)

Sounds good.

As I don't yet have a JSON profile, nor even a FOAF one, I shall depend
instead upon funky arithmetic. Mine is $(( 2 * 431 * 112181 ))
