like the Global Hackerspace Hackathon Challenges has been ignored for
the past few months:

IMHO, the downfall of the Hackathon Challenges is that their not that fun. I'm all about making my space greener and what not, but the thing I think makes it fun and exciting is competing with other spaces and being judged by our peers, like we did with the cupcake challenge. So, maybe we should try and come up with some stuff that's competitive, shows off what our spaces can do, and judged by our peers?

The monthly call-in is this Sunday, maybe we can think of some ideas before then and discuss them in real-time? I'd even be fine with doing another cupcake challenge and seeing if that gets the ball rolling.

points on style and surviving. Maybe for live tracking periodically.
Thought that may break some flight safety laws.

If anyone wants to really organize something and want to do something a little bit dangerous...
I have a ton of power vacuum tubes(thousands of tubes of all sorts) that would make homebrew xray machines.
If someone could get a hold of some film and stuff and someone distributed kits - only other stuff could be picked up locally like neon transformer or automotive high voltage coil... oh and some lead

A little involved logistically but xrays of electronics are pretty rad. 
I couldn't do the distribution... but would ship tubes to someone that could.
