Physical computing is becoming popular with the wide availability of interesting and inexpensive sensors and actuators, and the easy-to-use Arduino prototyping systems. Along with rapid growing of cloud-based Web services, physical computing is posed to take off and become one of the key enablers for interesting new network-based applications.
The Arduino Workshop series in magic society aims to promote the understanding of physical computing and provide hands-on experience with the Arduino platform.
When do the workshops take place?
The workshop series start officially on Dec. 5, 2010 and take place every Sunday 2-5pm.
How long are the workshops?
The workshop series consists of 27 hours in total, including 9 hours of lectures + 18 hours hands-on. Each individual workshop consists of 3 hours.
What can you learn from the workshops?
- Getting start with Arduino, including IDE, programming, hooking up sensor)
- How to prototype with hardware
- Network communication with Arduino
- Robotics with Arduino
- Linking up with existing hardware
How much are the workshops?
The cost of the courses is 2500RMB, including the Arduino starter kit(250RMB in value) and the storage box to leave your materials behind. We will provide you two-month super membership (4000RMB in value) to Magic Society for free.
How do I pay?
We need to receive at least 20% of the total payment to order the starter kit for you on the day of the open course(Nov. 28, 2010). You can pay the rest either on the first day of the workshop or transfer money to our alipay account: xind...@gmail.com before that.
