Hello everyone!

Global South Tech, a community which fosters cross-border partnerships for impact in tech, recently opened a chapter in Phnom Penh and we're having our first event, a panel discussion. Come join us on Monday 15th January at Emerald Hub and meet:

- Divon Lan, Managing Director at Black Pawn Ventures, a startup foundry for emerging markets. Before becoming an investor in mobile applications, Divon worked for Google on frontier market expansion and for Symantec as a product manager. Divon is based in Cambodia, but he has worked on the ground in 50+ countries, including the US and Israel.

- Langda Chea, Founder of BookMeBus, one of Cambodia's most successful startups, which offers online ticketing for bus travelers mainly in Cambodia. Langda enrolled in BA Information Technology at the Royal University of Phnom Penh and BA Education at the Institute of Foreign Language in 2008 and has worked as a freelance web developer.

- Gordon Peters, a Partner at Mekong Strategic Partners since 2016, where he leads investments in clean energy and transactions in financial services. He has lived in Cambodia for 9 years and has worked across Southeast Asia. Prior to joining Mekong Strategic, Gordon was the Managing Director of Emerging Markets Consulting (EMC), the largest management consultancy in Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos PDR, and Singapore.

- Shivam Tripathi, a "Forbes 30 Under 30" entrepreneur and the Founder of CamboTicket, which has disrupted bus ticketing in Cambodia in the way RedBus has in India. Tripathi, a former J.P. Morgan analyst and project manager for a local water supply company, has SEA Ventures as a backer and the firm's managing partner Rahul Anand as a co-founder.
