The Melbourne HackerSpace has been holding regular meetings since
April 2009 and working on various projects throughout the last year.
Details regarding the group can be found here ...
We've been primarily meeting / hacking in a garage ... and a primary
goal for 2010 will be to move into a more permanent location. At the
same time, setting up some appropriate governance, etc will also
occur.
We've focused on building the group / membership and getting on with
hacking (various projects) ... to see how the group culture and
dynamics evolved, before leaping into serious commitments regarding
property and liabilities ... perhaps we enjoy hacking more than
paperwork and committees !
Our most recent visible "hack" was the LCA2010 Arduino mini-conference
(and associated hardware), which required significant contributions
from many CCHS members and other dedicated hackers from around
Australia and New Zealand.

Interacting with other HackerSpaces and hackers around the world and
generally contributing to the movement, is something that we're keen
to do.
