So as I've mentioned to some of you, due to certain inexplicable incidents of last week, Format will be receiving a visit from our premier, who is a man named Michael Rann with whom some of you may be familiar.

Michael and his body guards, who are apparently absolutely terrifying, will be visiting Format, Reading Room and Magazine space at some point on Wednesday afternoon between 3 and 5.

The reason they'll be doing this is largely because two of the Thinkers in Residence have told him the sector we're part of - the micro-venues/ArtMediDesign/emerging social innovators/etc or as Stan would have it 'unpopular culture' sector, is important and is currently getting the shit kicked out of it by council, and a lack of support and funding opportunities at the local, state and federal government level. So Mike's going to come look at the spaces and see what he thinks. Evidently he thinks it's important enough to set aside two hours for a complete tour of numerous spaces, so I'd say it's a pretty good chance for us to put some ideas further up the chain of command then we're currently capable of reaching.

If it goes well, we'll take over the old Clipsal site in Bowden and own our own suburb, or see changes to regulatory frameworks and increased pressure on Council to leave us the hell alone.

For it to go well, it'd be good if, between three and five, we had as many 'young' people looking industrious in Format, the Reading Room and Magazine space as possible. If you're able to come in, or you've got friends who can come in, and sit around looking industrious between those hours, that'd be great.

Oh, it looks like there's a blockage in the main air conditioning duct. Could someone flush it out and sterilise all of the input ducts with concentrated cyanide gas? Just in case there's some idiot in there. Annoying pricks.
