Introduction to
Acetone Vapour
Smoothing
Friday 22nd
January: 6:30-8:00pm
Sunday 24th January:
11:00-12:30pm
In this
introductory course,
you'll be shown the
tips and tricks of
using an acetone
vapour solution to
smooth your 3D Prints.
This technique can
drastically reduce the
finishing time of a 3D
print, as it can
bypass hours of
filling and sanding.
You'll learn about the
preparation of prints,
certain print settings
that benefit the
process and also the
limitations of the
process.

Mending Club
Sunday 24th
January: 2:00-5:00pm
Mend your
clothes in company
and/or learn basic DIY
hand mending with
Laura
Bring your
clothes to be revived,
sewing kit and
consumables, we have
sewing machines, some
equipment and limited
consumables for you to
use.
A copy of Erin
Lewis-Fitzgerald's
book "Modern Mending"
will be on hand with
plenty of ideas on how
to darn, patch and sew
old clothes back to
life!

Adelaide Repair
Cafe
Sunday 31st
January: 12:00-3:00pm
Reduce waste by
repairing instead of
replacing!
Do you enjoy fixing,
mending, tinkering or
repairing things? The
Repair Cafe is a
welcoming space which
is designed to help
the community learn
skills to repair and
mend broken or damaged
items.
Save money by reusing
or repurposing. Reduce
your waste and gain a
skill! Come along and
help build a resilient
community in these
challenging times.
Meet other likeminded
people, repairers,
makers and community
makers. We are also
seeking volunteers who
would like to help
faciliate the sessions
and share their
skills.

CNC Router
Induction Sessions
Friday 22nd
January: 6:00-8:00pm
(and each Friday
after)
Come and learn
how to safely operate
our Workbee CNC
router!
You'll learn how to
prepare 2D cutting
paths, how to secure
workpieces, best
practices for
processing work and
even how to change
bits in the cutter.
The Workbee CNC can
cut variety of
materials including
plastics, timbers,
dense foams and even
soft metals like
aluminium, copper and
brass.
This induction
covers setup and
safety of the machine,
plus the steps in
taking 2D vector
artwork, and creating
2.5D cutting paths.
For 3D shapes, our
facilitators can help
you upon request.
